Feature Release 4-1-2026

We are thrilled to announce our latest update, live as of April 1, 2026. This release introduces powerful new ways to organize your teams with Workspaces, brings your data to life with Real-Time Sync, and launches our Configuration Marketplace. Alongside these major features, we've squashed several bugs to ensure your lead syncing and communication tools are rock solid.

Here is the breakdown of what is included in this release:

New Features

The Workspace Concept: We have introduced tailored, role-specific environments (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Support, Admin) to reduce clutter and keep teams focused. Workspaces feature curated left-panel navigation (Speed Panel & static pages) and a highly contextual search bar that exclusively queries the objects available within your active workspace.
Real-Time Data Sync: Collaboration just got an upgrade! When data is created, updated, or deleted by other users in your organization, those changes will now reflect on your screen in real time if you are viewing the same record.
Lookup Name Sync Logic: Updating the name of any record in the system will now automatically cascade and update its reference across all related records and objects.
Advanced Tag Creator Utility: We've replaced generic AppBuilder forms with a domain-specific wizard for managing tag records. This high-density utility supports object-specific vs. global scoping, Kanban-style visual previews, and complex dependency logic directly within the AppBuilder.
Microsoft Office Integration: We have laid the groundwork for deeper integration with Microsoft products, starting with the ability to link and sync contacts and calendar events between our platform and Microsoft Outlook.
Formula System (Alpha): We have begun development on a powerful new formula system that will allow users to create custom calculated fields and logic across all objects. This is currently in alpha testing and will be rolled out in stages over the coming months.
Ask Valstorm Docs: We have implemented an AI powered document search. Head to https://docs.valstorm.com, click the chat bubble, and ask any question about our documentation to get an instant answer with links to the relevant articles. We've geared the AI to focus more on directing you to the right resources with minimal summarization that way you can find the articles and videos that best suit your needs.

Feature Improvements

The Configuration Marketplace: Users can now browse and install pre-built configurations with a single click directly at /marketplace.
Event Result Defaults: We added "Pending" as the default option for Event Results. This ensures new scheduled events immediately and properly appear on your result Kanban boards.
Left Panel Filtering: The primary left navigation panel now strictly respects your active and pinned filter preferences.

Bug Fixes

Lead Creation Smart Resolution: Fixed a bug where creating a lead would occasionally fail with a "Value Required" error. The system is now smart enough to resolve and distribute data correctly whether you enter just a "Name" or specific First, Middle, and Last names.
Lead-to-Contact Syncing: Resolved an issue where entering a phone number during lead creation was failing to generate a corresponding new contact. (Resolved in ValRM v1.11.3).
Conversation Contact Linking: Fixed a bug where newly created inbound conversations weren't properly linking to contact phone numbers, which was preventing the click-to-text panel from opening correctly.
SMS & Notification Glitches: Addressed several messaging UI issues: text notifications will now auto-populate on the left bar without requiring a manual refresh, the "Mark All as Read" button successfully clears unread states, and pagination within the text component works as expected.
App Builder Record Fields: Fixed an annoying UI bug where the record page fields list would continuously duplicate and grow indefinitely as you switched between app pages.
Initial Load Query Errors: Adjusted the default utility panel loading sequence so the phone component no longer attempts to query missing parameters upon initial login.
Base Route Searching: Resolved a routing issue where executing a search from the base application URL would break.
