Navigate to the Builder: * Click on the Global Search bar at the top of the system.
Type in SMS and click on the SMS Builder when it appears.
Add Content:
Drag the text element into the builder area.
Type out the message you wish to send.
Insert Merge Fields (Personalization):
Type two squiggly brackets {{ to open the merged text field options.
Select or type the desired variable (e.g., contact.first name or contact email) to personalize the message.
Example:{{contact.first name}}, looking forward to our meeting.
Save the Template:
Enter a name for your template in the field at the very top.
Click Save.
Note: Once saved, this template can be used for bulk marketing blasts or quickly dropped into individual phone conversations.
Part 2: Setting Up a Bulk Text Campaign
Prepare Your Contact List:
Ensure you have built out a list filter to target the correct recipients (e.g., "campaign contacts").
Launch the Campaign:
From your filtered contact list view, click Launch Campaign.
Enter a name for your new campaign (e.g., "SMS Tutorial").
(Optional) Select a campaign Type to enable extra tracking.
Click Save to generate the campaign draft.
Apply the List Filter:
Choose the specific filter you set up earlier to select all intended recipients.
The system will display a preview of up to 25 contacts from that list, but the blast will send to everyone meeting the filter criteria.
Click Continue.
Part 3: Configuring Actions and Scheduling
Select the Action:
Choose Text Campaign as the action type.
Configure Phone Numbers:
Specify the recipient's phone field (e.g., the contact's Main Phone field).
Choose the outgoing phone number you are sending the messages from.
Attach Content or Templates:
(Optional) Click Select a file if you want to attach a video or other multimedia content.
To use the template created in Part 1, click Select a template and choose your saved SMS template.
Schedule the Send:
Choose whether to send the campaign Now or schedule it for Later.
Important: If scheduling for later, the system uses the local time zone where you are currently located (e.g., account for time differences if you are traveling).
Run the Campaign:
Click Schedule Campaign Run (or Send) to finalize.
Part 4: Reviewing Campaign Status
Check the Campaign Page:
After scheduling, you will automatically land on the campaign summary page showing the list of recipients and relevant contact details.
Monitor Email Notifications:
Check your email for automated status updates. You will receive notifications detailing:
Who the campaign is going to.
When the campaign starts.
When the campaign is completed, including the total number of people it was successfully sent to.
